Makeup Haul!!

Over the past few months, I have gotten quite a bit of makeup and wanted to share it with you.  Let's go!

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer- works for combination skin tones without getting to oily!!  Yay!
Neutrogena Night Calming Makeup Remover Wipes- soft and calming scent
Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Bronzer in Goddess- this is a little to bronzy for countouring but looks great when you apply in LIGHTLY on super fair skin
Maybelline Lash Sensational Brownish Black Mascara Waterproof- haven't had enough time to do a honest review
Sephora 10HR Wear Perfection Foundation in 05- LOVE THIS FOUNDATION!!! That's all I have to say...
Real Techniques Beauty Sponge- great dupe for the Beauty Blender
Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette- the shades are fabulous but can have a bit of fallout if your brushes aren't clean
Maybelline MasterConceal by FaceStudio in 10 Fair- To be honest, it was not my shade but the lightest one they had.  It is very thick and full coverage.
Maybelline FitMe Concealer in 10 Fair- WAY TOO ORANGE!!!  They were supposed to be the same color, just different formulas.  They are not the same color, I look like a tried to self-tan when I wear this.
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Venom- my friend got two of these (sample-sized) and gave one to me.  This color is super pretty and is similar to the Sephora Crush lipstick.
Maybelline Brow Drama Crown Pommade in Blonde- well it's not really a light blonde like my hair but I actually like the appearance of darker brows with light hair.
Covergirl BB Cream in Fair/Light- haven't used it enough yet

I know this is a lot but honestly I've been collecting these products since about December of 2016 but never bought enough at once for a whole haul.  I hope you know I'm not trying to brag but just showing you what I'm trying out and buying.  If you want a more detailed review or look using a product(s), just comment the name down below.

"No Makeup" Makeup Tutorial

Let's face it... we all don't have time or the will to apply a full face of makeup everyday and ever since Marc Jacobs's models walked down the runway with no makeup on, you've seen many tutorials on the 'no makeup' makeup look.  Honestly though, many of them still involve a full face of makeup, just lighter.  Today, I am going to show you a super simple makeup look that looks amazing and takes less than 5 minutes!

Products Used:

  1. CoverGirl BB Cream (Tinted Moisturizer + Sunscreen)
    1. Rimmel London Translucent Pressed Powder (if you have oily spots, you will need a brush)
  2. e.l.f Spoolie (Brow Pencil if you have literally no brows)
  3. Maybelline MasterContour Blush
  4. Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Black/Brown Mascara
  5. Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette (optional)
Tutorial
  1. Beginning with a clean face, smooth BB cream over your face gently with your 4th finger.  Make sure that you blend through your ears and down your neck.
  2. If you need to set your face, use your powder and brush to kill the shine on your forehead, chin, nose, etc.
  3. Brush your eye brows upwards and if you need to fill them in LIGHTLY
    1. Do not over draw them, make them look natural
  4. Brush a thin layer of blush over your cheeks, you want to go for a natural blushing look
  5. If you want, swipe Stark from the Basics 2 palette all over your eyelid and halfway up to the brow bone
  6. Coat your lash in mascara, I used a black/brown waterproof one so it would look natural.  If you want a bit of awakeness (don't thing that's a real word...), you can curl your lashes using a eyelash curler.
  7. Go enjoy your natural makeup and you'll probably get some compliments from people saying how good you look without makeup!

Coachella Lookbook and Necessities

Coachella is days away and is super trendy in the media world!  I have never went to Coachella but would love to when I can afford a ticket and travel because it's expensive.  The type of clothing and things you take are specific to Coachella because of the whole atmosphere.  Today, I want to talk to you about clothing ideas as well as what you need to bring.

What To Bring...

  • Sunglasses- Coachella is in the desert and sand can blow at any time!
  • Sun Hat- Protect your hair from sun damage...
  • Sunscreen- I'm seriously so pale and any sun will burn it but all skin tones should pack suncscreen
  • Small Bag- Nobody wants to be dancing and watching their purse so bring something small to hold your phone and money
  • Hand Sanitizer/Wet Wipes to stay clean
  • Portable Charger- service is a bit sketch in the desert
Clothing Necessities
  • Flower Crowns
  • Good Shoes for Walking (you will walk a lot!!)
  • Boho Jewelry (Layers)
  • Loose, flowy clothing

DIY Instagram Donut Treats!

I have been scrolling through my Instagram feed (@brookenafziger) and am seeing cute, colorful foods all over the place!  The only downside to seeing these viral foods everywhere is they are in the big cities such as New York City and LA.  Sadly, I don't live anywhere close or the means to get their just for the food.  So today, I thought I would show you guys how to make these amazing donut treats at home!

California Donuts
Donuts are one of my favorite foods in the whole world and California Donuts in LA has the cutest donuts.  The closest place to get similar donuts to me is Varsity Donuts in Manhatten and Hurts Donuts in Wichita.  They both have good donuts but California Donuts has them at a race for cute and colorfulness.  I am going to show you how to make 3 types of donuts today.
Panda Donut

  • Plain unfrosted or glazed donuts
  • Frosting or Thick Glaze
  • Oreos
First, start by frosting the top part of the donut with white frosting/glaze.  For the ears, break one Oreo in half and GENTLY press it into the frosting while still wet.  Then, using small bits of broken Oreos, place 1/4 of an Oreo where the eyes would go and 1/8 of an Oreo for the nose.  To finish the eyes, place a small dot of white frosting in the center of the Oreo eye.  These donuts are super cute and taste amazing!!

Cereal Donuts

  • Plain unfrosted or glazed donuts
  • Frosting or Thick Glaze
  • Food Coloring
  • Cereal of your choice
These are the easiest donuts ever!  First, start off by coloring your frosting whatever color you'd like.  The most common are purple and pink, but feel free to do blue, green, orange, etc.  Start off by frosting your donut and while its still wet press dry cereal into it.  My faves are Fruity Pebbles and Blueberry Toast Crunch.  You could also use candy such as mini M&M's if you have a sweet tooth!

Maple Bacon Donuts
  • Plain unfrosted or glazed donuts
  • White Frosting
  • Maple Flavoring
  • Bacon Pieces
  • Maple Syrup
Begin by frosting the donuts with a layer of white frosting with maple flavoring mixed into it.  Next, top with bacon pieces and drizzle with maple syrup.  Sweet and savory while being combined with a donut!

I hope that you try out these recipes because they taste amazing!  Donuts are great but homemade are so much better.
